Indian Valorant scene witnessed some interesting roster shuffle for the upcoming VCL 2025 South Asia: Split 1. Velocity Gaming made a comeback in Valorant, with former Global Esports stars SKRossi and LightningFast joining as their core. S8UL Esports surprised their fans and the Valorant community with their entry into the scene, as they picked up DUPG Esports’ core, hellff, Techno, miz, and k1ngkappa. Ex-Global Esports IGL, HellrangeR, will join S8UL Esports as the coach.

The teams participating in the Valorant Challengers League 2025 South Asia: Split 1 are:

Reckoning Esports (Invited)

Revenant XSpark (Invited)
Orangutan Gaming (Invited)
Velocity Gaming (Qualifiers)

All eight teams will play against each other in a round-robin format without any knockout stages. VCL 2025 South Asia: Split 1 will kick off with the opening match between Global Esports Academy and Revenant XSpark on 4th March 2025. Split 1 will continue till 21 March 2025, and each team will get to play seven best-of-three games over 14 days. Based on their performance, teams will receive the circuit points, which will be crucial to qualify for the Ascension qualifiers.
The top six teams from Split 1 will advance to Split 2, whereas the bottom two teams will compete in Promotion/Relegation 1 alongside two other teams placed from the Premier. Promotion/Relegation 1 will have a single-elimination bracket, and the top two teams will advance to the VCL 2025 South Asia: Split 2.
Unlike Split 1, Valorant Challengers 2025 South Asia: Split 2 is expected to follow a double-elimination format. The top six teams will advance to Split 3, and the bottom two teams will have to make their way to Promotion/Relegation 2. Split 2 will be another chance for the teams to gather circuit points. Similar to the first one, Promotion/Relegation 2 will have a single-elimination format, with the top two teams advancing into Split 3.
Valorant Challengers 2025 South Asia: Split 3 will feature a Group Stage, where the eight teams will be divided into two groups, and the top two teams will advance into the Playoffs. Playoffs are expected to follow a single-elimination format.
At the end of Split 3, the four teams with the most circuit points will compete in the Valorant Challengers League 2025 South Asia: Ascension Qualifiers. Ascension Qualifiers will have a double-elimination format, and the winner will represent South Asia at the VCT Ascension Pacific 2025, where the top Pacific teams will compete for a shot at becoming a partnered team.
