Apeks Signs florescent to 2025 VCT Roster

Apeks has made history by signing two-time Game Changers champion Ava "florescent" Eugene, marking a monumental step for both the organization and the player. This signing positions florescent as the first-ever Game Changers player to compete in the VCT.

“Making the jump to VCT has always been my goal since day one,” florescent shared. “I'm very proud of the success my team had these last two years, but I now feel ready to take the next step.” Apeks head coach Danail "DANNYTO" Sofroniev added, “Her performance during trials was outstanding, and her passion for the game is on another level. I believe this year with her will be something special.”

florescent is expected to take over as the team’s duelist, replacing kaajak, who left Apeks alongside soulcas after their Ascension victory. The two former players have joined FNATIC and KOI, respectively.

A breakout star since joining Game Changers in 2022, florescent became the centerpiece of Misfits Black before joining Version1’s star-studded 2023 roster. After their success under Version1, the team transitioned to Shopify Rebellion and claimed consecutive Game Changers Championship titles in 2023 and 2024. In both tournaments, florescent delivered MVP-winning performances, cementing her legacy in Game Changers history.

Despite Shopify Rebellion’s dominance in Game Changers, their forays into broader competition fell short, repeatedly ending in NA’s Challengers open qualifiers. This signing represents a significant leap for florescent as she transitions to the highest level of VALORANT competition.
