FrosT: “Primmie Has the Potential to Be the Best Duelist, But He Doesn’t Want to Play Duelist”

In an interview with Seoulera, TALON's head coach FrosT shared insights into the team’s agent compositions and Primmie’s role following their 2-1 victory over Global Esports in the upper bracket of VCT Pacific 2025 Kickoff.

“Primmie has the potential to be the best Duelist in the Pacific League, but he doesn't actually want to play Duelist,” FrosT revealed.

Instead, Primmie prefers to play a variety of agents, leading TALON to adopt a flexible approach similar to ban last year.

“ban played 15 different agents, and this year, we’re looking at Primmie to take on that role,” he added.

FrosT also highlighted the team’s strategic use of Tejo, explaining that the player took the initiative to learn the agent.

“When Tejo was released, he put in a lot of effort and told me, 'I want to play Tejo.' He understands the agent better than anyone on the team and provides valuable feedback on its strengths and optimal playstyle.”

While Primmie is highly capable on Duelist, Talon already has Governor in that role.

“Governor is an aggressive player who creates openings that other Duelists might struggle with. His performance in this match was impressive,” FrosT said.

Additionally, Ban has experience on Duelist, having played the role at VALORANT Champions 2024, giving Talon extra flexibility in agent selection.

With multiple Duelist options, TALON has the ability to adapt its compositions as the tournament progresses. They will next face T1, who have started the season strong with wins over BOOM Esports and Paper Rex. Unlike many teams that made OFF//SEASON changes, TALON has retained its roster from VALORANT Champions 2024 as they continue their run in VCT Pacific 2025 Kickoff.
