According to sources, Disguised has acquired Filipino VALORANT player John "JA" Arone from NAOS Esports. JA will replace Deryeon, who recently joined Global Esports, leaving a significant gap in DSG’s roster.
JA has been a standout talent in the Southeast Asian VALORANT scene, gaining recognition for his sharp mechanics and ability to perform in high-pressure situations. During his tenure with NAOS, JA played a pivotal role in the team’s success, helping them secure strong finishes in regional competitions. His performances earned him a reputation as one of the region’s most reliable players
Before making his mark in VALORANT, JA had an accomplished career in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, most notably representing Bren Esports. He was part of the core lineup that dominated the Philippine CS:GO scene before stepping away from the game in 2021 to transition to VALORANT. His background in CS:GO has provided him with a strong foundation in tactical FPS, which he has seamlessly applied to Riot Games’ title.
The acquisition of JA comes after DSG saw Deryeon, a key player in their lineup, move to Global Esports. Deryeon’s departure created a significant vacancy in the roster, which Disguised looks to fill with JA’s skillset and competitive experience. While neither Disguised nor NAOS Esports has officially commented on the transfer, sources suggest the deal has been finalized.
JA’s addition is expected to strengthen Disguised’s firepower and versatility as they aim to secure victory at Ascension and earn a coveted spot in the international league. His experience and skillset will be crucial in helping the team achieve their ambitious goals.
However, JA will not debut at the upcoming Predator League event. Kimmy, known for his time with Kizuna Esports, will stand in for DSG at the event.
