Spotlight Series Pacific: Everything You Need to Know

Riot Games has officially confirmed the Spotlight Series Pacific, set to take place from December 19-22, 2024. 



This tournament will be the first mixed-gender competition in the Pacific region, following the success of similar events in other regions. The Spotlight Series will feature VCT and Game Changers players, with a focus on inclusivity and diversity. Each team will be required to include at least two Game Changers players, but the remainder of the roster can be chosen freely, with teams deciding whether their roster is majority-male or majority-female (and other Marginalized Genders).


This marks a significant step in Riot Games' ongoing efforts to promote gender inclusivity within competitive VALORANT. By featuring mixed-gender teams, the Spotlight Series will offer a unique platform for both established and up-and-coming players to compete on a level playing field and fostering diversity. The Spotlight Series Pacific 2024 will also feature a prize pool of USD $50,000, which will be distributed among the top-performing teams.


Participating Teams

The following teams will compete in the Spotlight Series Pacific:

  • DRX

  • Paper Rex

  • Xipto Esports X Global Esports

  • Zeta Division

These teams will play an essential role in shaping the future of Game Changers in the Pacific.


Format and Schedule

The tournament will follow a Single Round Robin Best-of-3 format. The top two teams will advance to the Grand Finals. Matches will begin each day at the following times:

  • 17:00 GMT+7

  • 18:00 GMT+8

  • 19:00 GMT+9
