VCT EMEA

The 2025 VCT EMEA season begins with KICK//OFF on January 15, introducing a 12-team format that now includes Ascension winners Apeks. The season opens with a double-elimination bracket, giving every team a fighting chance to make an impact from day one.

Key changes include:

  • Expanded Playoffs: Stage 1 and 2 will now feature 8 teams, increasing the stakes and matchups.

  • Revamped Championship Points: Points have been adjusted to ensure every match matters throughout the season.

  • Weekend Finals: Playoff matches will run from Friday to Sunday, with Grand Finals always held on Sundays to maximize excitement.

The Kickoff matches for VCT EMEA 2025 have been decided through a draw. The matchups for the opening round are as follows:

Challengers EMEA

The Challengers ecosystem gets a major overhaul in EMEA for 2025, a new event that will unite the best teams from regional leagues for three high-stakes tournaments throughout the year.

Key Dates:

  • Challengers EMEA 1: March 3-9

  • Challengers EMEA 2: May 19-25

  • Challengers EMEA 3: September 1-9

Format Overview

For the 2025 season, Challengers EMEA brings an exciting format with more flexibility for tournament organizers (TOs) to tailor experiences locally. This leads to unique formats across regions, and more details will be shared soon.

Stage 1 and 2

In Stage 1 and 2, 12 teams from the DACH, France, Spain, Turkey, and the newly merged NORTH//EAST region will compete. Each group will consist of three teams, with a Best-of-3 (Bo3) round-robin format. Over three days, each group will see four matches a day, with the top team from each group advancing to the Playoffs in a double-elimination bracket.

Stage 3

Stage 3 expands to 14 teams from all Challengers Leagues, including MENA, split into four groups (two groups of three and two of four teams). These teams will again play in a Best-of-3 (Bo3) round-robin. The top teams from each group will move to the Playoffs, which culminate in a double-elimination bracket and an epic Grand Final.

The Championship Points system has been redesigned, rewarding performances at both regional and EMEA wide levels, with the stakes escalating in each stage.

Ascension

Finally next year Ascension EMEA will be a fully LAN tournament, offering a high-pressure environment for the best Challengers teams.

The winner of the final Challengers EMEA Stage 3 will receive a direct invitation to Ascension EMEA. The remaining teams will be determined based on their overall Championship Points accumulated throughout the season.

Details on the format are expected early next year.

Game Changers

In 2025, the Game Changers EMEA format will largely stay the same, featuring three stages across the year. The key change comes in the regular season, where all ten competing teams will now compete in one large group instead of being split into two groups. This adjustment allows for more competitive gameplay, as teams will play a higher number of matches, providing fans with even more action while helping players refine their skills.

Each Stage will feature a Round Robin format, with BO3 matches, resulting in 45 games per stage (up from 20 in 2024).

Premier and Regional Circuit

The developmental ecosystem continues to evolve, with amateur teams gaining more visibility through a dedicated tournament. Premier and the VALORANT Regional Circuit remain critical proving grounds for future stars.

With these updates, 2025 promises a packed calendar for VALORANT fans in EMEA, full of surprises and fierce competition. Whether you're rooting for regional underdogs or international powerhouses, this season will deliver action you won’t want to miss.
