VALORANT star Mixwell launches own Esports Team: Otakar Esports

Former professional player and popular content creator Mixwell has taken a major leap forward by unveiling his very own esports team. Partnering with Red Bull, he has launched Otakar Esports (https://x.com/Otakar_Esports), marking an exciting new chapter in his career.

Initially, Otakar Esports will focus solely on VALORANT, a game where Mixwell made his name as one of the best during the latter stages of his career. While future expansion might be in the cards, starting with VALORANT allows him to build on his strengths and familiarity with the game.  

Not long ago, Mixwell was part of Team Heretics, but he departed to pursue what he referred to as an “incompatible project.” That project has now been revealed as Otakar Esports, which will directly compete with Heretics and other top organizations in the VALORANT scene.

The team’s roster remains a mystery, with no players announced yet. Mixwell has, however, outlined plans to recruit promising talent over the coming weeks. While the specific requirements for joining the team have not been disclosed, the focus will be on finding skilled and motivated individuals ready to compete at the highest level.  

Otakar Esports was introduced with a dramatic video featuring Mixwell portraying King Otakar II, a historical figure known as the "Iron and Golden King." According to legend, this Bohemian ruler returns every century seeking a pure soul to lead a new era of hope, a story that served as inspiration for the team’s creation.  

By stepping into the role of team owner, Mixwell is beginning a new journey, one that redefines his legacy and brings fresh energy to the competitive esports landscape.
