VALORANT Star yay Reveals Severe Payment and Living Issues with BLEED Esports

Professional VALORANT player Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker (also known as El Diablo) has opened up about a troubling experience during his tenure with BLEED Esports in his recent twitch stream, sharing details of severe payment delays and an alarming living situation in Singapore. He highlight significant mismanagement within the now-defunct organization.

Payment Delays and Unpaid Salaries

Yay explained that salary payments were frequently delayed, with initial lags of two months eventually stretching to three or four months. One teammate reportedly went unpaid for up to six months. These financial setbacks disrupted the players’ lives and highlighted what yay described as poor management within the organization.

Living Conditions in Singapore

While living in Singapore, yay and his teammates dealt with an unsettling situation involving their landlord. Under local law, landlords can legally enter rented properties, and yay recounted how the landlord frequently entered his bedroom unannounced (sometimes as early as 6:00 a.m.) to demand rent payments. This disrupted the players' personal lives and added to their frustrations.

Extravagant Spending Amid Unpaid Salaries

Adding to it, yay disclosed that the organization's owner frequently invited the players to clubs, where he would allegedly spend thousands of dollars on luxury items like champagne. This lavish spending stood in stark contrast to the players' struggles with unpaid salaries.

The esports community has expressed outrage over these allegations, reigniting discussions about the need for stricter regulations and better player protections. BLEED Esports has not responded to these accusations, though its current inactivity suggests the organization has effectively ceased operations.

E4EQUIP’s sources suggest that the organization no longer has any staff, as everyone involved was ultimately left unpaid and scammed.
